Overroute Raises $5.5M to Accelerate AI Freight Execution

Today we are announcing $5.5 million in funding led by UP.Partners, with participation from EIC Rose Rock, 1834 Ventures, Tulane Ventures, and others.

For us, the funding is less important than what it allows us to accomplish.

Overroute was built differently from most AI companies. We developed our technology inside real freight operations — alongside the people doing the work every day — rather than starting with a generic AI product and fitting it into operations afterward. Our AI agents are already deployed across the J.B. Hunt freight network and have worked on millions of loads.

Large carriers and fleets already have sophisticated transportation systems, visibility platforms, customer portals, telematics, and decades of operational data. But moving a load still requires people to monitor what is happening, identify what matters, communicate across systems, handle exceptions, and decide what to do next.

That gap between knowing and doing is where we see AI creating the most value in freight. Overroute’s specialized AI agents take on repetitive coordination while keeping experienced operators in control. Our agents connect to a carrier’s existing systems and operational data, allowing teams to use AI without abandoning the workflows they already rely on.

We’ve proven that model at enterprise scale, and now we’re expanding it.

The new funding will allow us to invest aggressively in our product and team, expand our agent deployments, and accelerate development of our broader freight planning and asset optimization capabilities. The support of investors with deep experience in transportation and technology gives us additional resources to tailor our products to our partners’ operations.

There is no shortage of AI pilots in logistics. Our goal is to help carriers and private enterprise fleets get beyond AI pilots and put the technology to work in daily operations, where it can improve operator productivity, automate manual workflows, make better use of assets, and ultimately help teams deliver better service.
